Description of the problem	I have a 2014 nissan altima. One morning after having drove about 15 miles on the city street, turning my car off and then on again after about 10 minutes, my car started shutting off when put in drive. I had to get it towed. My mechanic called nissan and gave them the failure code. He was told that it was the torque converter. It was locked and so the transmission needed to be replaced. I've been reading up on this and other complaints. Nissan issued a recall on the cvt reprogramming, but i think they know that there is more wrong with the transmissions they installed these cars than that. Reprogramming the cvt is simple for them, it's just a software upgrade. Now i'm finding out that the torque converter is failing (locking up) on thousands of cars. I feel nissan should be held accountable for these repairs.
