Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2014 nissan altima. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 20v315000 (latches/locks/linkages) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. Nissan of st. Augustine (2755 us-1, st. Augustine, fl 32086) was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available for the recall repair. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and diagnosed with a defective transmission pressure sensor switch. The vehicle was taken to another independent mechanic who cleared the check engine warning light and informed her that the vehicle was still under warranty. The vehicle was then taken to nissan of st. Augustine (2755 us-1, st. Augustine, fl 32086) and she was informed that since the check engine was not illuminated, the mechanic was unable to perform any repairs to the vehicle. The contact left the vehicle in the possession of the dealer for a few days however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The dealer returned the vehicle to the contact and informed her to return the vehicle once the check engine warning light reappeared. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not notified the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 28,000.
