| Description of the problem | Interior door handle(s) break because only plastic is used to secure a metal ball attached to the cable to open the door. At around 40 to 60,000 miles the interior handle breaks, almost consistently based on online research. This known problem should be repaired by making the area where the cable attaches more sturdy, or use a more sturdy material such as metal. If this handle were to break while trying to exit the vehicle due to an emergency, the results could be catastrophic. |
