| Description of the problem | My rearward control arm broke on a busy street while i was driving to work. I was unable to control the vehicle steering at 30mph afterwards. I was lucky that a mechanic shop was at the very next corner. The mechanic looked underneath the car and said "unbelievable, you're lucky to be.... We're glad you wasn't on the highway!) then he just shook his head, in disbelief at the rust, because the control arm and the linkage was held together by rust. He further added this car 7 years young with 72,000 miles, that shouldn't have happened. Lastly, that was a very scary situation, not having control of your vehicle when you are faced with semi trucks in front and behind you and you're not able to pullover your vehicle to safety. It was a bad experience, that hopefully, no one else have to encounter. |
