| Description of the problem | My 2013 nissan altima was in motion on a city street in early august just after exiting the highway when the rear wheel locked up. Fortunatly my daugther was able to get the car to a safe place. It was the right rear control arm - had broken off due to corrosion. The nissan dealer said the left side was also corroded and about to break off. Both side control arms had to be replaced. It was repaired at a nissan dealership - for $1535. 50 on aug. 7., 2019. My understanding is there is a service campaign happening where nissan is fixing the problem for customers with this make and model, however, nissan is telling me my vin is not identified in the campaign. I am frustrated because it is clearly the exact same issue. |
