| Description of the problem | The left rear lower control arm broke from the connection point on the chassis while driving approximately 40 mph on a straight road. This abruptly steered my car into the oncoming lane (fortunately there were no other vehicles). The car then felt very sloppy and loose. In repairing the problem, the shop noted the control arm had advanced corrosion and had failed. The right rear control arm was also replaced and had a large crack near the connection point. |
