| Description of the problem | This complaint is regarding the nissan recall ref. 16v-029 related to the hood latch assembly. Nissan seems to have put in place a repair procedure that is different than what is advertised in the recall letter. This procedure is excessively burdensome, requiring the vehicle owner to schedule a first appointment to inspect the car, then a second appointment to perform the actual repair. The recall letter advertises a single appointment is needed to perform the repair, so this procedure runs contrary to the text of the recall letter. This seems to be known to dealers as: pc426 altima hood latch ntb16-011 |
