| Description of the problem | While i was driving the vehicle on a residential neighborhood at a rate of approximately 30mph, with my six month-old baby in the back seat, the hood flew open and smashed into the windshield. I narrowly avoided losing control of the vehicle despite having my view completely obstructed by the presence of the hood on the windshield. Evidently, i had accidentally pulled the interior hood release while refueling being that the hood release and gas gage release are right next to each other. Nevertheless, as i am certain you are aware, the secondary latch should have prevented such a nearly tragic sequence of events. As a result of the hood colliding with the windshield, the vehicle has sustained significant damage. |
