| Description of the problem | Shift solenoid has small metal plate that bends over time and loses contact the shifter. This makes car impossible to shift from park without depressing the shift lock using a small flat head screwdriver. After discovering fix, i dismantled the shifter and bent the solenoid plate back to the original position but a few months later, the metal plate has bent again. This small metal plate seems quite thin and flimsy. Search the web, lots of people have had this issue occur to their altimas. |
