Description of the problem	I currently own a 2009 nissan altima with a steering wheel lock mechanism defect. Upon researching this defect i have come to realize that several consumers have had this issue . This defect has been so common that a warranty was placed on this part until 2014. Because of the number of customers that have had this issue i believe that a total recall should've been made. Please review all of the petitions posted online in an attempt to drive the manufacture to do the right thing. The repair for this defect is costing it's customers a minimum of $1200 and i am outraged that they put a expiration date on the time this part has to malfunction.
