| Description of the problem | The push start engine ignition depends upon pressing the brake pedal to start the vehicle. The engine would not start because the brake pedal could not be pressed completely in order for the push start to operate correctly. This has since occurred multiple times. We must push the brake pedal a number of times in order for the vehicle to start. According to the auto dealer they are not aware of any problem but upon search of the internet i have found many cases of similar problem. Nissan dealer offers to replace the brake part at a fee. Request that nissan take responsibility for faulty brake button that appears to be causing this problem on many nissan altima vehicles. |
