| Description of the problem | Safety passenger air bag light came on as i was a passenger in the vehicle. I am 5' 7" tall and around 140 lbs. Therefore, the air bag should be functioning while i am in the passenger seat. We took the vehicle to nissan dealership and they said there was nothing wrong with the air bag system. However, the light continues to come on erratically even to this day in 2013. We had nissan test it again in december 2012 and they gave us the same excuse. The sensor is supposedly working. Why does the air bag light continue to come on with passengers in the seat (the light on means that the air bag has been turned off due to low weight of person, etc.)? Are we or are we not being protected by the air bag in the event of a crash? |
