| Description of the problem | I am the owner of a 2005 mercury monterey with 45,700 miles. I have an extended warranty policy which expires this summer. The problem i have been experiencing the past couple of years has been the right side sliding door which does not perform properly at times. On occasion when depressing the door "open button" on the upper console, it starts to open and then after opening approximately 15 inches, it closes on its own as passengers start to either exit or enter the back seat.
