Description of the problemI own a 2004 mercury montery. I was driving down a main road when all of a sudden, when i stepped on the gas the van quit moving. I had no warning, the rpms moved but my vehicle would not move in any gear. I managed to make it into the left turn lane on a very busy road, and had to wait 40 minutes for a towtruck, the whole time hoping i wouldn't get hit. There was no shoulder on this particular road to pull off on. It was very frightening. This could have been extremely dangerous had this happened on my way to the university. I have to drive about 40 miles on an expressway at night for my classes, if this would have happened then i could have been in alot of trouble. Not just the fact of getting hit on the expressway but being a female stranded at night alone on the expressway. I hope ford is forced to fix this problem.
