| Description of the problem | My wife was driving home in our 2004 mercury monterey when all of a sudden it lost power to the power train. The car remained on, but would not go anywhere when the gas was pressed while in gear. Luckily she was not far from home and we were able to push it until we could get it to our home and call a tow truck. I am more than relieved that we purchased the used vehicle warranty from the dealership we purchased the vehicle from. It appears the transmission will be fully covered under this warranty. I noticed many other blogs and a recall investigation filed for this problem, so i thought i would report one more occurrence of this problem for this vehicle. |
