Description of the problem	I lost the ability to steer on the interstate with no warning. The steering became difficult, so i took vehicle to ford dealer ship. At 77,000 miles, the warning for power advance flashed on the car. The dealership says that i need a new steering gear is needed and that it is not covered under warranty. The repair is estimated at $1767. 00. This needs to have a recall, since this is happening with other mercury owners.
