Description of the problem	Rack and pinion malfunction - the power steering went out on my vehicle as my daughter was driving on a city street and approached a right turn. An inspection by my local ford dealership proved that the rack and pinion had malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. There is a recall on the 2011 year, and with all the complaints that are on file for the 2010, i do not understand why the recall does not effect this year as well.
