| Description of the problem | My mercury milan has 124,000 miles on it and i just experienced the soft brake problem while parking my car in the garage at a slow speed and the pedal went to the floor. Now when i drive the vehicle, the pedal goes almost all the way to the floor to stop now and has not returned to normal. I called ford direct after contacting my local dealership, and they told me that my car does not fall with in the date range from manufacturing (6 mos) for the ford issued recall number 19s54. They basically told me this is an owners expense now. Clearly the bosch hcu parts ford installs are defective and and they should cover the cost. I just received an estimate of almost a $1000 to replace the hcu and flush the break system. I am at a lost for words in how i feel about this. |
