Description of the problem	In oct. 2009 i purchased a 2010 mercury milan, vin [xxx] from ken stoepel ford lincoln mercury dealer in kerrville, texas. I believe that there is a safety issue with the vehicle. The instrument panel shows blue speedometer numbers which show up nicely when it is in the garage but while driving on the highway under normal daytime conditions, the numbers do not show. I have talked with a rep at ford motor co. And have also taken it to the dealer on two occasions and they say that it cannot be corrected. Driving without being able to see how fast i am going is a safety hazard. The dealer's service manager admitted that others have complained of this problem and that it also presents itself on the ford f150 pickup truck and obviously on the 2010 ford fusion.
