| Description of the problem | Takata recall. This recall has been going on since 06/01/2016. Ford cannot fix this problem because they do not have the part. Now we have received notice that takata is bankrupt. So we are left with a vehicle which no one can ride in the passenger seat due to the possibility of death worst case scenario! Do you want to put a family member in that seat and roll the dice!! Someone needs to come up with a fix now. Can ford not dismantle the air bag to not release as a temporary fix until the part comes in? At least this would be better for the owners of the vehicle so the seat could be used. Not to mention, safer! Oh, but that might cost someone $ and even though it is their fault, the collateral damage is worth the risk rather than loose the $.... What a sad country we are living in. It has been over a year and companies cannot come up with a fix! I am shocked that ford has not gotten more involved than they have since they will be the ones who will be sued if anything bad happens. They made the vehicles and are therefore responsible. No one really cares who made the airbags. Ford should step up and make this right. |
