| Description of the problem | Have had several instances while driving on rough surfaces or wet conditions where the brake pedal became soft and required a lot of pumping and pushing it to the floor to stop the vehicle. Vehicle required much longer distances to stop and caused son to run through a red light without an accident. Brakes will work fine the next day. Took to local repair shop and they could find nothing wrong. Took to dealer and informed them of issues i researched concerning the abs control unit. They essentially refused to replace it even when we were willing to pay for it. They said there was no evidence it was malfunctioning. Tried to explain only happens under the above mentioned conditions so far. Will get back from dealer and see if another local repair shop will replace the abs control unit. |
