| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2009 mercury milan. The contact stated that there was a sudden loss of brake pressure. The brake pedal traveled to the floor, so the contact had to apply force to pump the brake pedal as the vehicle went through a red light. The dealer (flammer ford of spring hill, 3335 commercial way, spring hill, fl 34606, (352) 686-8255) was notified. The contact, a mechanic, diagnosed that the hydraulic control unit failed to function and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer issued two technical service bulletins on the brakes, but there was no recall issued. The vehicle was not included in nhtsa action number: pe16017 (service brakes, service brakes, hydraulic). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 90,000. |
