| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2009 mercury milan. While attempting to brake at 3 mph, the brake pedal dropped independently 1-2 inches and the vehicle took an excessive amount of time to slow down. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the master cylinder failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred.
