| Description of the problem | I was driving on a road that was slippery due to icy conditions. I applied the brakes when a car stopped suddenly in front of me. I was able to stop but after the incident the brakes went"soft" and i had to apply extra force and pump the brakes to get the car to brake adequately. My mechanic thought it might be a problem with the calipers but fixed them. When that did not fix the problem he put in a new factory master cylinder which also did not remedy the situation. He then did some research and discovered that there have been issues with the abs system. My car is still not braking properly. |
