| Description of the problem | On 4 occasions, while in motion (3 times while coming down a hill and hitting a speed bump in apartment complex and 1 time on the interstate after hitting a small pot hole in a construction site) i hit the brakes and after hitting the "bumps" my brakes "went out" for about 20 feet where the brake pedal floored and didn't decrease the speed of the vehicle at all. When the brakes start working again, my car begins to skid forward until i let go of my brake pedal. The pedal feels like the abs kicks in. In addition, over the past 6 months, roughly, my brakes have become very "soft", requiring alot more pressure to stop my vehicle. I just had my brake pads and rotors replaced and that did not correct the problem at all. Nothing else was said to be wrong with my brakes during the service appointment. |
