Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2008 mercury milan. The contact stated that while parking and at less then 5 mph, the vehicle surged and abnormally accelerated, jumping a curb. The contact applied the brakes with both feet in order to stop the vehicle. The vehicle then skidded several feet before the contact was able to stop the vehicle. The contact was told by the dealer that there was no record of the failure occurring with other models and that there was no use in bringing the vehicle for diagnosis because the diagnostic machine would not be able to diagnose the failure.
