Description of the problem	Brakes were applied hard to avoid dog running out in road, after this happened the brake pedal sinks to floor then brakes suddenly slam on when pedal is almost at the floor. You have to pump the brake pedal to get normal pressure for one stop. Fuse was removed for abs pump and brake pedal returns to normal height and brakes work normally without abs help. When abs pump fuse is replaced brake pedal goes soft again. Has been an ongoing problem for several months.
