Description of the problem	The failure of the throttle body fortunately occurred in the driveway of a vacation home in chandler, arizona. I was able to have the car towed to the nearest ford dealership where the part was replaced. I hate to think what could have happened if we were in a traffic situation when the failure took place. Even though the engine will still run at an idle, the accelerator will not respond enough to move the vehicle forward or backward. Ford needs to recognize the failure of this part as a life threatening matter and issue a recall of all models affected.
