| Description of the problem | While driving on the interstate my car lost the ability to travel at a safe and acceptable speed. The cars maximum speed was 30 mph on an interstate that has a required speed of 55mph. I was forced to pull over on the side of the road and have the car towed. This is a grave safety concern, especially since ford motor company knows exactly what the problem originates from. The car was then taken to a repair shop that found the problem to be a defective throttle body. Ford will replace throttle bodies in 2009 and up mercury milan's but not the 2007. The cars have the exact same throttle bodies! It is negligent on ford motor companies part to not offer to replace all throttle bodies in affected automobiles. |
