Description of the problem	2007 mercury milan purchase new july 2007. Car kept in garage most of the time. October 2007 car was parked outside in rain. Owner noticed that the passenger side of the floor (front and back) carpets were saturated. No windows or doors were accidentally left ajar. Owner kept checking car after car washes and passenger floor was continually wet after washing. Car went back to dealership and it was discovered that there was a weld burn through under cowl. The burn through was in a valley allowing water hitting the outside of the car to travel inside the car behind the glove compartment and into the car. Dealer stuck silicone on the site and said "here you go". Car had less than 4000 miles on it at that time. Owner was not satisfied. Carpets were finally replaced and there was mold growing underneath the carpet on the passenger side and there is visual rusting in the seat track and the driver's seat bracket also had rust forming. How many other vehicles made that same day in kansas city missouri (february 20, 2007) also have a weld burn through and no one knows it yet?
