Description of the problem	This morning when getting on freeway, abs was activated due to snowy weather. After this, brakes needed to be pumped several times and the pedal pushed nearly to the floor for car to stop. Made it to work after narrowly escaping several potential accidents and sliding through a red light due to brake failure. Upon leaving work, brakes were still not functioning properly. The failure made it impossible to stop predictably. Once i returned home i decided to google the issue to see if other mercury owners have had this issue. As it turns out, it is a massive problem for so many people. I cannot believe there hasn't been a recall yet. After reading so many accounts of accidents due to this issue i no longer feel safe driving my vehicle. I don't want to start replacing parts only to have the issue continue on as many other people have reported.
