Description of the problem	While driving down the street if i hit a bump or pot hole while pressing the brakes the brake pedal goes to the floor but does not return to normal position. The car will come to a stop and the brakes will engage to stop the care but the pedal goes to the floor before it will stop. The first time it happened the pedal returned to the position a few hours later. After multiple times of turning the car on and off. The second time it happened i took it into the car dealership. They did get the car to duplicate the problem but said that they couldn't find a problem with my brakes. The dealership contacted ford and was told that they have never heard of that problem and it may just be a characteristic of my car. I also contacted ford myself and they told me they have nothing on record for a problem like that and to take it to another dealership and have them look at it. Ford customer care kept telling me that my car was no longer under warranty. It has since happened a couple more times but now the pedal is not returning to normal position it is going to the floor before the car stops. I know my car is no longer under warranty i just want to get the problem fixed. I can not believe that this is a characteristic of my car that i have owned for 5 years and never had this problem before this.
