Description of the problemWe were northwest bound on the ohio turnpike just before rt 11 south of youngstown. Travelling 70 mph, the car suddenly lost power and decelerated. The motor continued to run, but the car would not go more than 5 or 10 mph. The yellow wrench light on the left side of the instrument panel illuminated and remained until the motor was turned off. After sitting on the side of the highway for about an hour, the vehicle was started and the yellow wrench light was gone. Aaa advised me to take the next available turnaround and return home which was about 70 miles away. After we turned around, the aaa technician followed us to the next service plaza. While there he checked the vehicle's fluids and found no problems. The vehicle's diagnostic check indicated that all of the monitored systems were alright. We drove the 70 miles home without incident. I suspect electronic throttle body connectivity as referenced in ford's customer satisfaction program 13n03 to be the cause of this incident.
