Description of the problemMy car suddenly lost power and the wrench light came on, at the stop sign i shut the car off and restarted and it was gone. This happened intermittently until recently the car shutters and dies in rush hour traffic when you slow or come to a stop. It also loses power and accellerates very slowly. Now the wrench light is always on and the car surges when driving. I understand others are having trouble with this very issue. All my milage is highway miles as i drive 160 miles round trip per day. The throttle bodys are very expensive and a definate safety hazard as the trouble just kicks in at any given time and the sudden loss of power occuring during bumper to bumper is a safety concern. I have maintained my car and tried to keep it like new. I think the issue needs to be addressed and the throttle bodys need to be recalled.
