| Description of the problem | I was driving down a main road when the car just lost power could not accelerate. Pulled over to the side had to use e brake to stop. Turn off car try to turn it back on and it would not start only dash lights came on. Check engine. Had it towed. Mechanic diagnosis 1 of the back coils went bad along with ecm/pcm. Fried the coil on the plug fuse as well. Very dangerous and scary when your driving in traffic about 50 miles per hour. Car has 74,000. No warning light came on before this car has been maintained by ford with oil changes and multi point inspects. This seems to be an issue with mercury milan but no recalls??? |
