| Description of the problem | Takata recall i have tried to have two different ford dealers in my area make the necessary repairs or replacement of my airbags after receiving notice from the manufacturer (ford) but have repeatedly received delays first on the claim that parts for my car were not yet available and, after notification from ford that they were available, that priority was being given to those who had elected to rent replacement cars---which i did not do because they would only pay for one month and i was advised that i might have to rent for many more months. The dealers cannot tell me when the needed work on my car might be made. I now suspect that they never intend to make the necessary repairs. I, therefore, urge that nhtsa look into this situation and advice me what to do. Thank you. |
