| Description of the problem | The collision prevention assist module warning light came on. Collision assist was inoperative. This can lead to loss of acceleration and braking. I took the vehicle to local dealership, mercedes benz of arcadia, who performed a software update and charged $205. Oo. This is a safety issue and should be a recall and free of charge. When the error message came on my wife was on the freeway. She panicked and pulled over to the shoulder. Restarting the engine did not solve the problem. She drove home slowly whereupon we went to the dealership. |
