Description of the problem	I have received a letter from mercedes benz usa, dated december 2017, informing me (again) that the driver's side airbag is on recall, but that no part is yet available for replacement. I am to be notified when part becomes available. The problem is that i live on kaua'i and the nearest authorized mercedes dealer is mercedes benz of honolulu. It would cost me several hundred dollars to have the car barged to and from honolulu and would be a great inconvenience as both i and my spouse are disabled. I would request that i (and other mb owners on the island) receive the part when it becomes available and take it to the on-island garage that handles repairs of mercedes and other such vehicles, as there is no local dealer.
