| Description of the problem | Rear differential pinion bearing. The rear differential is making a howling and loud noise. The car only had about 60k miles and the bearing failed. This is a known issue for this model and other mercedes models as well. I got quoted around $3000 to fix this. This should not be an issue on a $65,000 car at this many miles. Mercedes benz needs to do a recall on the red differential since they fail at a very low mileage. |
