| Description of the problem | The fuel tank leaks strong gasoline vapor into the passenger compartment and outside the vehicle creating a fire hazard and imperils the driver's ability to properly breathe. The vapors are strongest everytime the fuel tank is filled over half way. Current repairs are going to cost $3000. The mechanic says the root cause is the california emissions required components that are nonstandard. There are no pictures as the leaky fuel tank is concealed under the back seat, below where my children sit. |
