| Description of the problem | I can smell gas fumes and my fuel pump failed in my 2007 mercedes e350. While mercedes extended the warranty on the fuel tank / pumps for the e series, non-pzev, i have been advised that my car has pzev emissions and i am not covered. The non-pzev cars received a 15 year extended warranty with unlimited mileage. The pzev cars have mileage capped at 150k. The resolution mercedes provided to the nhtsa was misleading since they did not provide a resolution for all of the cars with fuel tank / pump issues. |
