Description of the problem	"strong smell of gas on 2007 mercedes benz e350" whenever i fill my car with gas, there is a strong gas smell on the inside and outside of my car. It is so strong that it causes my entire garage to smell like gas. It is more pronounced when i fill my tank up with gas. As the tank empties with driving, the smell is less strong. This strong smell of gas is everpresent with a full and partially filled tank. This has occurred for some time now. Today, i took my car to the mercedes benz ontario dealer service department to ask for repair based on an extended recall (and unlimited mileage), they said they will not repair it using the recall, too many miles. My current mileage is 178278. Mercedes needs to recall all model years. This is very dangerous, and i question the liability in the event one of these cars catches fire as a result of the fuel system defect which mercedes is not willing to repair.
