| Description of the problem | My rear brake lines have corroded to the point that i lost my brakes. The fluid has leaked out. The car is not rusting or showing signs of rust or corrosion. Only the actual brake lines have rusted. It appears to be a defect in manufacturing. The lines should have had a protective coating or been covered in the exposed area to prevent excessive corrosion to the point the brake lines rusted thru and the vehicle lost it's braking ability. This happened while was in stop and go traffic so luckily nobody got hurt but if i was at a high rate of speed i would have lost my braking ability and it could have been much worse. |
