Description of the problem	The suv was 4 months out of warrantee but with less than 15k miles. While driving, suddenly the power steering warning light became illuminated and there was a total loss of steering. Was able to stop the suv in the middle of the road and restarted the engine with return of steering function. The vehicle is currently at the honolulu benz service department getting a complete replacement of the steering rack.
