| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2007 mercedes benz e63. The contact stated that after refueling and then parking the vehicle, he noticed a large gasoline fuel leak. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they advised that the fuel sending unit malfunctioned, causing the fuel leak. The fuel sending unit was repaired however, the failure recurred one year later. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000. The current mileage was approximately 74,000. Updated 04/30/13*lj the consumer stated the fuel did not leak onto the ground. It was contained within the cavity/space surrounding the fuel sending unit. |
