| Description of the problem | The nhtsa complaint number is pe12001 there have been a lot of owners with the problem of fuel smell inside the car related to a failing fuel sending and leaking fuel tank in the w211 model e-class mercedes benz (2003-2009) (see provided link below). My car is a 2005 and has begun to smell like fuel inside the cabin. Mercedes benz will not take responsibility for these failures and as a result, have created a dangerous situation for the owners of these automobiles. I refuse to pay for these failures out of pocket and expect the government to side with the owners on this recall, component failures and utmost disrespect and lack of attention from mercedes benz.
