Description of the problem	My car starting smelling strongly of gasoline in the interior. I brought it to a local repair center and had the sending unit gasket replaced. About 2 weeks later, the smell had not abated and i had the same repair re-performed under repair warranty. This was again not successful. I then researched the issue in greater detail online and found many people complaining of the same issue. I brought it to the mercedes dealership, where they ultimately replaced the sending unit/hoses at a cost of about $1200. They confirmed there was a pool of gasoline just under the rear seat.
