| Description of the problem | My car has a strong gasoline odor. The dealership said the fuel tank is leaking and needs to be replaced. They have denied warranty coverage on a leaking fuel tank. Please reference nhtsa # ea13003. This problem has been acknowledged and a warranty program put in place by mercedes benz to avoid a recall. Now, they are denying warranty coverage. Can your investigative team open this case up and help us- consumers. On the surface, this appears to be an ethical problem for mercedes benz. Repair cost $976. 00 for a new fuel tank. Please help.
