Description of the problem	I noticed shortly after i bought the car in 2008 a strong gas odor when i filled the tank. I was told this was normal for a mercedes. I have since learned that the issue is gas pooling under the back seat where the gas tank is located. I am very alarmed to find that this is the reason for the strong gas odor in the vehicle cabin and inside my garage. This issue is a definite safety risk and i was shocked at how insensitive and uncooperative mercedes benz of na was when i contacted their customer service. I am paying out of pocket to fix the problem, however, believe this should be on mercedes benz's dime. I am filing this complaint against mercedes for that reason and plead for your support.
