Description of the problem	I was driving home from work on a freeway traveling at about 65mph. All of sudden, my car starting to slow and decelerated which i pulled my ehicle over to the emergency lane where it stalled. The car wouldn't start after that and i can smell the burning from the under the hood. I got it towed to a mercedes specialist shop. The shop reported that there was a fire inside the air intake manifold that caused damage to other components as well which was very unusual. This manifold component was all burned and melted inside including other surrounding components. I consulted with the mercedes dealership which they stated this never happen to any mercedes models so i think this is a defect and a safety hazard. This is only a 5 year old certified pre-owned purchase made from the dealer 3 years ago when vehicle had only 38,000 miles on it. Unfortunately, my warrantly just expired 5 months ago. At this point, the damage so far exceeded $4,000 to repair and the dealership won't do offer any goodwill repair on it. Luckily for me i was not injure from this incident but it may not be so lucky if it happen to someone else.
